Create Custom Task Types

Creating custom task types can be tricky at first. However, once you get the hang of it, the process becomes easier. Please note: Only account administrators can add, modify or delete task types.


 

Here are the basic steps:

  1. From the Tasks module, click on Manage Task Types in the Navigate section of the left column. The next page provides a list of every single tasks type in your account.
  2. Click the Add button in the Make Changes section of the left column. This opens a New Task Type form.
  3. Enter a name for the Task Type in the Type Name text box.
  4. Select an owner from the Default Owner dropdown menu.
  5. Determine how the RespondBy date will be calculated by selecting the appropriate options in the Response Date and Offset By drop down menus.
  6. Add desired notifications by clicking the Add button under Notifications and completing the popup form, as described in the videos below.
  7. Create the desired triggering events if you want your task to auto-generate from one or more events.
  8. Click the Save button.
