The invention disclosure form is the heart of PM Invent. It's used by inventors to submit their ideas through a series of questions. AppColl allows for up to 48 possible questions that can be added to the form.

  1. Hover over the Invent module and select Setup Disclosure Form. Note: Only account administrators have access to the form.
  2. Update the default General Instructions as needed.
  3. Update or accept the Name field default.  AppColl's default questions include Brief Description, Problem Solved, existing Solutions, and Proposed Claims. Feel free to rename or completely overhaul the questions in your form. From our experience, the easier the form is to complete, the more willing inventors are to fill it out.
  4. Select from the Question Type as needed.
  5. Select from Requirement options to always or never require.
  6. Select from Display options. For more information on queries, click here
  7. Provide sufficient detail as to what the inventor is being asked in each question in the Description field.
  8. Questions can have a list of values of which the inventor must choose one in the Restricted Values field. Examples can be Yes/No, list of products or technologies, etc. A dropdown menu is created when one or more values are added to the Restricted Values section of a question. Each value should be entered on it's own line.
  9. Reorder questions as needed by using the Up or Down Arrow.
  10. Delete a question by clicking the Trashcan icon.
  11. When you are finished, click Save
