Email Conversations Tab (AppColl PM Plus)

Available for AppColl PM Plus, the Conversations tab allows another view for the emails that are sent into AppColl for a particular matter. When an email comes to a Matter's Intake email, AppColl will display the message on the Conversations tab in a similar way as your email inbox. With this feature, you can easily download attachments, view, and reply to messages sent to the Intake address for that matter.

  1. Begin by going to the Matters module.
  2. Locate the Matter for which you wish to view Conversations and select.

  1. Click the Conversations tab.
  2. Review the displayed emails sent into the Matter's intake email. Each column is sortable, and the Search function includes the subject, recipients, contents of the emails, and names of attachments, however, it does not search the contents of attachments. AppColl updates the Conversations tab automatically every 30 seconds. You can click the Refresh icon to immediately refresh the list of emails.
  3. Click on an Email Row in the table.

  1. Clicking on an email row in the table opens a pop-up showing the contents of the email. You can click Reply to reply to the message, or Close to close the window.

  1. You can also click the Reply icon in a row to reply to a message. AppColl will also include the Matter intake email address as a Cc (so that the reply will automatically be included in the Conversations tab) and all email addresses that were in the original message. This is similar to a “Reply All” in your favorite email program.

  1. Click the Select Template drop-down to choose from available options. AppColl allows you to choose an email template similar to using the Email icon in the upper right of the Matter Details page. AppColl processes the template, filling in fields, and then includes the original message contents.
  2. Choose to Use local email client or Use AppColl (can attach files from AppColl and preserve template formatting).
  3. Choose whether to Create Billing Item.
  4. Click Reply.

  1. If you chose your local email client, your default email will pop-up in a window where you can send the email as required. If you opted to use AppColl, you can review the email and any attachments and click Send.
