If you plan to bill for your time, you must create a law firm contact record which is used in the "Remit To" section for the invoice. This video walks through the steps of creating a law firm contact record.
- To begin, go to the Contacts module.
- Click the Add button.

- Select Law Firm as the Role from the dropdown menu options.
- Enter a Company (or law firm) name. You may optionally also wish to enter a Name.
- Enter an Email address.
- Enter further information, including an Address, if desired.
- If you use payment instructions (or wiring information), if you wish that they appear in an invoice you must enter them in the Payment Instructions section.
- You also may wish to enter a Tax ID if you are doing LEDES electronic billing files and if you have clients that need to be billed electronically. AppColl can generate LEDES files, but a Tax ID number is requried to do so.
- Click the Save button when finished.
