Create a Law Firm Contact Record

If you plan to bill for your time, you must create a law firm contact record which is used in the "Remit To" section for the invoice. This video walks through the steps of creating a law firm contact record.

  1. To begin, go to the Contacts module.
  2. Click the Add button.

  1. Select Law Firm as the Role from the dropdown menu options.
  2. Enter a Company (or law firm) name. You may optionally also wish to enter a Name.
  3. Enter an Email address.
  4. Enter further information, including an Address, if desired.
  5. If you use payment instructions (or wiring information), if you wish that they appear in an invoice you must enter them in the Payment Instructions section.
  6. You also may wish to enter a Tax ID if you are doing LEDES electronic billing files and if you have clients that need to be billed electronically. AppColl can generate LEDES files, but a Tax ID number is requried to do so.
  7. Click the Save button when finished.
